What an amazing weekend!
The first job came as normal on the Friday for the word ZAP. We met Phillip from Zap Image at the Plough Inn at Eaton and it's always great getting on well with a supplier and seeing them from time to time. Philip wanted the words ZAP as he was doing a big wedding show in Birmingham i think it was, showing off his photography business. He wanted something a little different behind his stand making it more noticeable and offering a bit of a wow factor, and i think it worked well for him.
On Saturday was Alicia and Adams wedding at Sandhole Oak Farm. This is a venue very local to us in Congleton. They hired the selfie mirror with all the props and our metal post box that we designed in the colours of their wedding. Alicia was the Bride that wanted the Hat cone which I mentioned in last week’s blog. She had dressed up for this at her Hen Party. They also had an amazing saxophone player which really got the wedding guests up and dancing! We might have even had a little boogie as well...it's hard not too!!! Haha! We have actually attached a post of her playing. It's a fantastic scene of the Saxophone lit up while parading it through the dance floor as the wedding guests surround her.
Sunday morning, we attended the Cranage Hall Wedding Fayre. This is a firm favourite of ours as the owner of the company got married here himself only this year. It ran from 11:30 till 3:30 and it was our final show of the year. I always feel a 4-hour show is just enough as there is a steady flow of visitors and exhibitors don't start tiring. We met some wonderful Brides and grooms to be and had some great responses. We went all out showing off a bit of everything with varied coloured bulbs, so visitors aren't always seeing the same thing.
Sunday night we went to Nunsmere Hall and what a beautiful wedding this was with lots of cupcakes tempting us, it was hard not to have any. Katie and Jamie hired the light up love letters, the 4ft LED heart and selfie mirror. When we arrived Katie and Jamie were so lovely and very welcoming to both us and the DJ. They had their first dance at 7:30pm which is always a great time to start the evening reception I think. As soon as the dance was over the selfie mirror really got going as guests rushed to have a go. They were a fun crowd, one of the best. At 9 p.m. we were also treated to the most amazing firework display which we even managed to watch ourselves as all the wedding guests went outside to watch it. Even the lovely staff at Nunsmere fed us. Then the guests came straight back to us to use the selfie mirror it's always funny to see the Bride and Groom dress up in our silly props and these didn't hold back. The Bride tried everything and didn’t worry about her hair etc.
…Coming up soon I will be designing a rustic sweet cart which will be going to the Plough Inn at Eaton and I can't wait!!! It really fits into this time of year so i look forward to updating you all soon and offering lots of pictures and hopefully ideas for your own Weddings!
