Where has the last weekend gone already? ....
Wow! What a couple of weekends we have just had, with some new venues under our belt. We have also managed to squeeze in two shows on each of the Sundays that were miles apart! I know what your thinking... how do we do it? Coffee has a lot to answer for in achieving this. Going back to the weekend before, we were showcasing with 'Brides Up North' (with two complementary Coffees may i add, Yes Please!) This show was only a short one at Capesthorne Hall from 11am Till 2pm. But non the less we met some amazing Brides and Grooms to be and we were happy with a good turn out of couples.
We also had the pleasure to meet some new suppliers especially MTR Productions who are based in Lancashire who were warm and welcoming. They did all the same items as us but their is enough business to go around so why make enemies haha. As always its lovely to see some suppliers we have seen in the past. One that springs to mind is The White Room Floral Design who offer wonderful table design. This time last year she managed to catch her flowers alight with a candle, but no such drama this year.
Over to Crewe Hall, our other Wedding Fayre with County Brides starting at 11:30am this went on till 4pm giving us even longer to chat to everyone who was planning their big day. The weekend allowed us to display a larger selection of our letters and even our more quirky symbols such as the Hashtag and Question Mark.
While doing the Wedding Shows, the Weddings don't stop! We visited a new Venue called 'The Yellow Broom'. What a pretty Venue this was! Defiantly if you are looking for Villa feel this venue would be for you. Set in a very peaceful surrounding. The conservertory offering a very open feel.
This weekend just gone we have been even busier with the Selfie mirror being the "in thing". It felt like we were lodging at The Plough with a wedding on the Saturday in the Marquee which always expands and offers great pictures at this venue. We then showcased our Selfie mirror and our Rustic LOVE letters there on the Sunday. We were here from 11am till 4pm and had a great response from Brides and Grooms to be, and also from their friends and family. Plus it's always good to have a catch up with all the local suppliers as we never really get time to stop and chat when out on events. We love to meet up with Colin from L & J Formal Hire, he has a wealth of experience in weddings.
We also showcased our Hire items at the 'Chester Grosvenor Hotel' in the town centre. From 11am till 2pm this is a new venue for us to showcase our work at and we had an amazing day! It was really positive. Again this was with Brides Up North. They are trying smaller shows in terms of time which i think is a good idea as long shows can be draining and sometimes i felt customers sensed this. A 3 hour show means that my staff especially are upbeat for the entirety of the show and still get an afternoon off after a hard weeks work.
The van did a lot of miles as always, and so did the staff to whom i thank very much! ...but getting through another busy week of weddings and parties mean i might have to swap the Coffee for a Gin!
Can't wait to keep you all updated next week.
